It doesn’t matter how much time, love, and attention we give our dogs, some fur babies still get lonely. This could be due to the fact that dogs historically have stayed in packs. But now that they’re domesticated, they form bonds with humans. Don’t get us wrong, these bonds are very strong and plenty of dogs are content with the relationship they’ve formed with their human. Other dogs still might show signs of loneliness.
That’s what TikTok user @hpgrisanti noticed with her dog, which is why she decided to do what plenty of dog owners do - get a second dog. The result will melt your heart as these two doggy siblings bond instantly. Take a look!

Stop it! We seriously can't handle this adorableness. The older dog instantly lit up as soon as the Black Lab puppy arrived. Is the only thing that these two dogs do is cuddle? Because that's pretty much what they did the whole video and we melted every single time. It's just too dang cute! We're so happy this Black Labrador now has another doggy sibling because he clearly needed the cuddle buddy!
If only it was this easy to introduce dogs together then each of our dogs would have their own dog, who have their own dog, and the cycle would continue forever. LOL! But the world isn't perfect and many dog owners struggle with having their current dog meet the family's new pet.
The first step in introducing your dog to a new dog is to lower your expectations. We all wish it could go as smoothly as it did for this TikToker, but the reality is that it doesn't always pan out that way. Dogs aren't always so eager to share their space or humans. If you know that's the case with your dog, try introducing them on neutral grounds. You'll also want to create positive associations and avoid giving the new dog all your attention as it might bring up jealous feelings. Be cautious and patient during this period as they might not become besties instantly.
